AKC Registered Irish Setters & Gordon Setters

Welcome to Damon’s Kennel, Inc. We are located in Southwest New Hampshire. We are recognized by the American Kennel Club (AKC) as Breeders of Merit having owned Irish Setters since the early 1970s and Gordon Setters since the early 1980s. All our dogs are registered with the AKC. We and our clients have competed in numerous AKC events including confirmation, obedience, scent work, therapy dog, field and hunting trials, trick dog, rally, numerous other events, as well as serving as family pets. We are members of the Irish Setter Club of America, Gordon Setter Club of America, Tartan Gordon Setter Club, Irish Setter Club of New England, and Lakes Region Kennel Club. We have placed our dogs in homes across the United States, Canada, and the Netherlands. We welcome your inquiry and will be happy to answer any of your questions regarding our breeds.

Damon’s Kennel, Inc. began in Verona, New York inspired by our first Irish Setter pet, Damon. We obtained our first show Irish Setter in 1980 and our first show Gordon Setter in 1982. We bred our first Irish Setter litter with dam Valley View Field of Clover (Clover) and sire Ch. Kerry-Eire Revolutionary ROM (Clancy was the Number One Irish Setter and the Number Two Sporting Dog in 1980). We bred our first Gordon Setter litter with dam Ch. Valley View Hollywood Boulevard (Holly) and sire Am/Can Ch. Valley View Mister Debonaire, CD (Reggie). Our dogs go back to some of the top winning and genetically clear specimens of the breeds.

In 1989 we moved to Mont Vernon, New Hampshire. In 2007 we moved again and built our forever home and kennel on 170 acres of woodlands in Washington, NH. We do limited boarding and grooming, mostly for our own clients and breeds when space is available. We regularly compete in AKC confirmation and have competed in obedience, trick dog, AKC Temperament Testing (ATT), and Canine Good Citizen (CGC). We have also done therapy work in nursing homes and schools. We train and handle our own dogs for competition.
